Amazon launches weekly livestream live performance sequence ‘Amazon Music Dwell’ on Prime Video

As additional streaming companies explore the home of live streaming, Amazon Prime Video is expanding on previous sports activities and introducing a new weekly streaming live streaming sequence called “Amazon Music Dwell.” Next Thursday, October 27, at 9:00 p.m. PDT, Amazon will launch the sequence featuring rapper 2 Chainz as hosts and performances by artists Lil’ Child, Megan T. Stallion and Kane Brown.

First up on the Amazon Music Residence stage is Lil Child, who will be performing his latest album, It’s Just Me. Megan Thee Stallion will perform on November 3rd and national artist Kane Brown will take the stage on November 10th.

Along with the residency performance, 2 Chainz will be interviewing each artist. Additional artists may be announced in the coming weeks.

“Amazon Music Dwell” will air on Prime Video after “Thursday Night Time Soccer.” It will even be available on demand for a limited time. Viewers can even stream on Twitch. It’s not like Apple’s live streaming sequence, “Apple Music Dwell,” which is streamed entirely on Apple Music.

Amazon is probably hoping that football fans and music listeners will take a look at the new sequence. Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” is hugely popular with subscribers, drawing hundreds of thousands of viewers each week. Amazon’s music subscription program, which was recently boosted, has about 52.6 million subscribers.

Two tech giants, Apple and Amazon, are competing against each other in music, sports activities and streaming. Apple Music is projected to reach 110 million paid subscribers by 2025 and recently became an official sponsor of the Tremendous Bowl.

However, Apple TV+ should acquire the rights to the NFL’s Sunday Ticket. Dwell TV shows on Apple TV+ include Friday Night Time Baseball and MLB Large Inning.
