Apple MacBook Pro With M2 Pro, M2 Max Chips Reportedly In Works; When Are They Launching?

As Apple prepares to launch the iPhone 14 on September 7th, a new leak from Mark Gorman suggests that next-gen MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips are in development.  Not only that, but he also suggests that the new MacBook Pros could hit shelves by the end of 2022.

The MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips is expected to come in two sizes – 14-inch and 16-inch.  In terms of looks and aesthetics, these laptops appear to be similar to the current-gen MacBook Pros with M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets.

   While several leaks have suggested that the M2 Pro and M2 Max could be Apple’s first processors to use TSMC’s 3nm manufacturing.  However, due to supply chain constraints, these processors may use slightly better 5nm manufacturing than TSMC (NP5), which should make them more powerful and powerful than their predecessors.

    Apple launched a new and improved MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max chipset in October 2021. With that in mind, the MacBook Pro along with the M2 Pro and M2 Max are expected to launch in October 2022 or early November 2022 and the devices are expected to be  put on sale at the end of 2022.

    In terms of price, the next MacBook Pro along with the M2 Pro and M2 Max should be priced the same as its predecessors.  Therefore, these MacBook Pros are expected to be slightly more expensive, like the current redesigned MacBook Pro.
