The Pixel 7 series is powered by a Google Tensor G2 SoC.
The company recently revealed the color options of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Both upcoming phones will be available in three colors each. The published images also show slight differences in the rear camera bands of these two models. The Pixel 7 series will support Google’s next-generation Tensor G2 SoC.
Google has scheduled an event on October 6 to announce the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch. It will also introduce new Nest smart home devices at this event.
The Google Store home page for the Pixel 7 series now shows a color option for both phones in the lineup. Obsidian and Snow color options are common for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The third color option for the Pixel 7 Pro is Hazel with a gold camera band, while the third color for the Pixel 7 is Lime with a bronze band. .
Both phones have similar designs, however the Pixel 7 Pro appears to have a glossy finish and the Pixel 7 has a matte finish. Additionally, the Pixel 7 Pro has two notches on the metal band, as opposed to the single notch on the Pixel 7. The home page now also mentions that the next-gen chipset powering the Pixel 7 series is called Google Tensor G2. It is said to bring “new personalized features for photos, videos, security, and voice recognition.” These smartphones also boot Android 13 out of the box.
Google announced on Tuesday that it will launch the Pixel 7 series on October 6. Also, at the same event, Google will unveil the Pixel Watch, which is the first smartwatch designed and manufactured by this company. The watch runs on WearOS and will be compatible with Pixel and Android devices.
