Malaysian mobile payment users can now use Apple Pay.

The American technology company is a partner of Standard Chartered Malaysia, Ambank and Maybank.

       Apple announced that it has entered into a new mobile payment partnership with Maybank, Standard Chartered Malaysia and Ambank to offer digital wallet services to its customers in Malaysia.

Credit card holders of these three major banks will be able to use them after 2022.

      “Customers with Visa and MasterCard cards from banks such as MBank, MayBank and Standard Chartered Bank can now use Apple Pay, including American Express cards,” said a statement posted on Apple’s website earlier this week.  can.”  It will be available with Apple Pay later this year.”

Apple device users can use their devices for mobile payment transactions using Apple Pay.

     Malaysian users can now link a payment card issued by any of the above three banks to their Apple Wallet.  From there, they simply need to place their active iPhones or Apple Watch on the contactless terminal while shopping.  Transactions are authenticated with TouchID or FaceID.
