Motorola is ready to organize an event on December 15. The company has not yet revealed the name of the products that it will announce in the event, but the Teasers have revealed that we will witness two telephone launches. It is said that one of them is the Moto X40 motorcycle, which has been in the rumor factory for a long time.
Moto X40 has already been appearing on various online platforms, such as TENNA and Geekbench, although the company has not given any indication about the device yet. These listings have exposed many details about Moto X40. It is speculated to include Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which will be seen in many other high-end phones in 2023. It is possible that the phone will be launched with a maximum of 18GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The Moto X40 is rumored to have a 6.67-inch display, which would be great for content consumption. The display is rumored to be curved, as suggested by the teasers. It will likely have a Full HD+ resolution. The design will likely include a punch-hole display with close to zero bezels, as the teasers show. An in-display fingerprint sensor is a feature that could be expected in the premium price range.
There is no clarity on features like IP rating for some protection against water in the rainy season or otherwise. We do expect it to come with stereo speakers for a better binge-watching experience. The details about support for HDR 10+, DC Dimming, fast charging, and more are still under wraps. The leaks claim that the Moto X40 could pack a 4,450mAh battery. A few reports claim that the company would provide support for a 68W fast charge.
At the back, we may get to see a triple rear camera setup, including two 50-megapixel sensors and a 12-megapixel tertiary camera. On the front, we might see a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies. The details about which sensor Motorola Moto X40 might be using is unknown. We will get more clarity and details on most of the things on December 15.
Motorola is also expected to bring the Moto X40 to the global market, but as Moto Edge 40 series. As of now, there is no information when the new smartphone could arrive in Indian market and other regions. To recall, its predecessor Moto Edge 30 arrived in India in May this year. It now remains to be seen whether the Moto Edge 40 will launch in India a little early in 2023 or around the same time when Edge 30 smartphone was announced
