realme has quietly launched a mid-range 5G smartphone in China called the realme V23i 5G. The device features a 6.56-inch 90Hz LCD display with HD+ resolution and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood.
According to the official Chinese website of realme, there is only one version of the device with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Fortunately, there’s a microSD card slot for additional storage.
As for the battery, the V23i has a 5,000mAh cell, though there’s no mention of support for fast charging. Camera-wise, there’s an 8-megapixel camera inside the display’s waterdrop notch on the front, and a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel primary camera with a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back.
Other notable features include a fingerprint reader, Android 12 operating system via realme UI 3.0, USB-C, and the choice of mountain blue or jade black color. In China, the V23i costs CNY 1,999 or RM 1,266, and realme has yet to announce whether the device will be sold overseas.
