‘Reinstate Trump?’ Elon Musk asks Twitter days after the 2024 announcement

The polls were conducted in the wake of President Trump’s recent announcement that he plans to run for president in the 2024 election.

Elon Musk has a well-known history of preferring to work on several projects at the same time. Now, Twitter is going through some changes, but he doesn’t seem concerned. #RIPTwitter was trending Friday, and though it seemed like it would succeed as an independent company, things quickly took a turn for the worst. Facebook is getting strong competition from Twitter thanks to their new boss. It has been three weeks since he acquired the company and things are still looking up–at least according to him.

A lot of users on Twitter have been asking the question, “Is Twitter dying?” while posting memes and criticising the new owner of the social network. Some people think that it’s time for Donald Trump to come back on the platform. Elon Musk has started a poll about this in a tweet, but there are many other tweets praising him. One of these tweets said, “To support Vox Populi, we need to support Vox Dei. The voice of the people is the voice of God.”

As of this report, there are 22 hours left to vote in the poll and 2,781,464 votes have been cast so far. The former U.S. president was permanently banned from Twitter in 2021 when the Capitol Hill riots took place, “due to the risk of further incitement of violence”. Earlier this week, he announced that he will be running again in 2024 presidential elections.

Musk and the team behind Twitter have been criticized for decisions that affect the platform, including changes to the Blue Tick verification mark, layoffs, company plans related to addressing hateful content and more

Some SpaceX employees were fired and now accuse the company of violating labor laws.
