The Future of Technology Will Have a “Unique Indian Touch” – UAE Minister

The UAE minister said that the ‘I2U2’ (which stands for India, Israel, the UAE, and the US) partnership will be a one-of-a-kind role model that many countries are going to follow.

Bengaluru: United Arab Emirates Minister Omar bin Sultan Al Olama praised India’s technological strides when he said Wednesday, “The future will have Indian fingerprints for everyone and everywhere.”

“Al Olama” addressed the inaugural session of the 25th Bengaluru Tech Summit.

“India is not just a past and present phenomenon; it also has a major role to play in the future. In the future, there will be many parts of the world affected by India,” he said.

Al Olama mentioned that places such as Bengaluru drive technology. However, he noted that the rest of the world still plays a significant role in developing the sector.

“But it has an Indian fingerprint because Indians are shaping the future of technology in different places across the world,” the UAE Minister of State, who holds the portfolio of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, said.

He also has high expectations for other parts of the business, expecting them to be a part of India’s successes.

“I don’t think that it’s just the future of technology that India will drive,” Al Olama told Asia’s largest technology event. “It’s going to trickle down. It’s going to be the future of everything.”

He was optimistic that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and India earlier this year was a good stepping stone towards forging a new era of technology.

The UAE minister also said that the ‘I 2 U 2’ (India, Israel, the UAE, and the US) partnership would be a one-of-a-kind model that many other countries will use as their inspiration.

If companies want to continue growing in the US and globally, they will “need a natural springboard outside their home turf.”
