At an event in China in December 2022, Xiaomi presented their Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Xiaomi 13 series running Android 13-based MIUI 14. The company boldly claimed this version ran up to 60% smoother and used fewer resources than its predecessor. Unfortunately, they didn’t provide any information on when the global build of MIUI 14 would be available or when it would be released for phones sold outside of China.
